Guinea midfielder Naby Keita has made his loan spell at Hungarian side Ferencvaros permanent, leaving SV Werder Bremen on a free transfer. The 30-year-old midfielder had been with Ferencváros since January 2025 and will continue with the club for an undisclosed fee.
Keita joined Werder Bremen in 2023 after a notable stint at Liverpool, where he lifted several major trophies including the UEFA Champions League, the English Premier League, the UEFA Super Cup, the FIFA Club World Cup, the Carbao Cup, the FA Cup, and the Community Shield.
During his time at Bremen, Keita made five Bundesliga appearances before moving on loan to Ferencváros. Since joining the Hungarian side, he has featured in 28 matches and provided 5 assists.
Clemens Fritz, Werder Bremen’s managing director for sport, commented to his club’s official website on the deal: “After the end of his loan spell, we have now found a solution that is satisfactory for all parties. We wish Naby all the best for the future.”
