Vision FC head coach Nana Agyemang heaved a huge sigh of relief after recording a win over a tough Medeama SC.
The week 13 encounter saw the newly promoted Ghana Premier League side beat the Mauve and Yellow by 3-2 over the weekend.
Joshua Rhule gave Vision FC an early lead with just 4th minute while Frank Duku increased the tally before recess.
The hosts appeared to be cruising, but the second half took a chaotic turn when both teams were reduced to 10 players following a double red card incident.
Medeama took advantage of the situation with Bernadinho Tetteh pulling one back in the 70th minute before Michel Sarpong levelled in the 83rd minute.
Vision FC, however, fought back to score the decisive goal, securing their third win of the season.
It is their first win in as many as eight league matches and coach Nana Agyemang spoke after the game.
"If you're playing at home and lead by two goals at halftime, it’s nerve-racking to see your opponents equalise. I’d have been disappointed if we didn’t win," he said.
Nana Agyemang attributed the second-half struggles to Edmond Asante’s red card. "Edmond was crucial to our transitions. His red card unsettled us and affected our concentration," he added.
The victory lifts Vision FC out of the relegation zone as they prepare to face Young Apostles next. They now sit 12th on the league log with 14 points from 13 games.
