“There is no word to use to describe the loss than to say it was a painful pill to swallow and I will love to apologize to our loving Governor, Engr. Abdullahi Sule for his love and care, fans for defying the odds to come and throw their support and also the great People of Nasarawa State. We will keep fighting and we will continue to defend the badge that has given us so much.”

Nasarawa Amazons broke into an early lead with a quick brace from Olushola Shobowale before Taiwo Ajibade and Taiwo Afolabi restored order for Rivers Angels to push the game to penalty shootouts.
