Betway Premiership side Marumo Gallants has confirmed the return of former Orlando Pirates midfielder Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo.
The midfielder, who was a free agent after parting ways with Pirates at the end of last season, has signed with his old club. Ndlondlo joined the Buccaneers in 2022 and won several trophies, including the MTN8 and the Nedbank Cup. However, he was one of the players released by the club before the start of the 2025/26 campaign.
Ndlondlo previously played for Gallants after the club purchased the status from Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM). During his first stint, he was part of the squad that reached the semi-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup.
The 30-year-old midfielder is currently with the Bafana Bafana squad participating in the African Nations Championship (CHAN) in East Africa. He has featured in both of South Africaβs Group C matches, a 1-1 draw against Algeria and a 2-1 victory over Guinea. The team is set to face Niger in their next group stage match on Friday at Mandela National Stadium in Kampala.
Gallants announced Ndlondlo’s return on their social media platforms on Thursday, confirming he will join his teammates after the CHAN tournament.
“Welcome back to the Gallants family. We are excited to officially announce the return of Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo,” the club stated. “Ndlondlo brings creativity, experience, and attacking flair to strengthen the squad for the season ahead.”
