Siphesihle Ndlovu highlights key factor driving Kaizer Chiefs’ revival

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Siphesihle Ndlovu has opened up on the internal shift that has sparked Amakhosi’s late-season resurgence, as the club intensifies its pursuit of a top-three finish in the Betway Premiership.

After a period of inconsistency, the Soweto giants have found a rich vein of form under the co-coaching duo of Cedric Kaze and Khalil Ben Youssef. For Ndlovu, the turnaround isn’t down to luck, but rather a clear tactical identity and a renewed sense of belief within the squad.

Speaking on the team’s improved fortunes, the midfield hardman emphasized that clarity of roles has been the defining factor in their recent climb up the log standings.

“We have reached a point where everyone understands exactly what is required of them,” Ndlovu noted. “The technical team has been very clear about the blueprint, and you can see it in how we are controlling games now. We aren’t just playing for results; we are playing with a specific purpose.”

MISSION TOP THREE: NDLOVU SAYS CHIEFS ARE DRIVEN BY A SPECIFIC PURPOSE

Currently sitting in third place with 39 points, Amakhosi are mathematically on track for their best points haul in over a decade. While the league title remains a distant mountain given the form of Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates, the mandate at Naturena is clear: secure continental football.

Ndlovu believes the competition for places has also sharpened the squad’s edge. “When you see everyone pushing in training, it raises the level of the match-day performance. We want to finish as high as possible and give the supporters something to be proud of heading into next season.”

MOMENTUM AHEAD OF TS GALAXY

With three consecutive wins under their belt, Chiefs are looking to maintain their momentum when they host TS Galaxy at the FNB Stadium this Sunday.

For Ndlovu and his teammates, the clash against The Rockets is more than just another fixture; it is an opportunity to prove that their recent “revival” is a permanent shift in standards rather than a temporary spike in form.
