The club has since confirmed that the 24-year-old underwent a successful surgery at Case Clinic, facilitated by the FUFA Medical Insurance Scheme.

Okao, who joined NEC FC from Maroons FC at the start of last season, has been an integral part of the team’s defensive setup. His consistent performances earned him the Club Player of the Season (2024/25) award.
His long-term absence will be a huge miss for the Diehards as they look to maintain their strong league form in the ongoing campaign.
