NEC FC have confirmed the signing of seasoned midfielder Siraje Sentamu on a two-year contract.
Sentamu arrives as a free agent following the expiry of his employment contract with Vipers SC in June this year. His move comes after weeks of speculation, with Express FC also showing strong interest in his services.
He is widely regarded as one of the most decorated players in Vipers’ history, having lifted five Uganda Premier League titles and four Uganda Cups during his successful spell with the Kitende-based side.
At NEC, Siraje Sentamu is expected to inject experience and solidity into a midfield that already boasts the likes of Daniel Shabena, Shamir Kimwero, Muzamir Mutyaba, and Paul Mucureezi.
His arrival comes at a crucial moment for the club as they prepare to represent Uganda in the 2025 CECAFA Kagame Cup in Tanzania next month. NEC were drawn in Group B alongside APR FC (Rwanda), Bumamuru FC (Burundi), and Mlandege FC (Zanzibar).
