The “Cup of Dreams” has lived up to its reputation in spectacular fashion. With the Betway Premiership’s traditional heavyweights all relegated to the sidelines, the PSL has confirmed the Nedbank Cup semi-final fixtures following a weekend of high drama and upsets.

The draw was conducted live on SuperSport’s Extra Time on Monday night, mapping out the final hurdles for the four remaining contenders.
The quarter-final stage proved to be a graveyard for top-flight ambitions. Casric Stars set the tone on Saturday, with the Motsepe Foundation Championship outfit pulling off a massive 2-1 upset over AmaZulu FC after extra time at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
The giant-killing spree continued in Polokwane as Milford FC stunned Sekhukhune United 3-2 on penalties following a gruelling 2-2 draw. On Sunday, TS Galaxy managed to avoid a slip-up, securing a professional 2-0 victory over ABC Motsepe League side Jacksa Spears at the Solomon Mahlangu Stadium.
The round concluded with a heated KZN Derby at King Zwelithini Stadium, where Durban City FC earned the final semi-final berth by defeating Golden Arrows 5-4 on penalties after the match ended 1-1.
In accordance with the PSL’s standard “no seeding” procedure—where all clubs were placed into a single bowl regardless of their league tier—the following matchups were determined:
TS Galaxy vs Milford FC
Durban City FC vs Casric Stars
The first club drawn in each fixture will serve as the home team. The PSL is expected to announce the specific dates, venues, and kick-off times for these high-stakes encounters in due course.
With the likes of Mamelodi Sundowns, Orlando Pirates, and Kaizer Chiefs already out of the competition, the 2026 edition guarantees a fresh chapter in South African football history. While TS Galaxy and Durban City remain the only two top-flight representatives left in the hat, the lower-league trio will be dreaming of a historic final appearance.
