The Round of 32 is just about complete in South Africa's Nedbank Cup and all three matches on Tuesday featured clubs from the top flight Betway Premiership.
SuperSport United met surprise Carling Knockout Cup winners Magesi FC and earned a 2-0 victory at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane. Vincent Pule opened the scoring inside fifteen minutes and Congolese winger Christian Saile, who arrived on loan in an exchange with Kaizer Chiefs, confirmed victory with a debut goal.
e other two matchups saw Betway Premiership clubs face opposition from the second and third tiers of South African soccer. AmaZulu thrashed third division club Mighty Eagles by a 5-1 score courtesy of a hat-trick from former Orlando Pirates player Sandile Mthethwa.
Finally, it was far from easy for CAF Confederation Cup quarterfinalists Stellenbosch FC who were given all they could handle by second tier club Kruger United. The Motsepe Foundation Championship side took the lead early in the second half but goals from Phili Langelihle and star Devin Titus spared the blushes of Stellies in a 2-1 comeback victory.
The Round of 32 concludes with top flight side TS Galaxy hosting part-timers Vasco da Gama on Wednesday.
