Nigeria to face Egypt in AFCON 2025 warm-up

Nigeria men senior national team, Super Eagles will face the Pharaohs of Egypt in a friendly match ahead of the 2026 Africa Cup of Nations.

The friendly is billed to hold at the Cairo International Stadium on Sunday, December 14, with Nigeria to open their AFCON 2026 camp four days before the match.

Egypt will also participate in a four-nation tournament in Dubai next month as part of their preparations for the AFCON.

Uzbekistan, Iran and Cape Verde are the other countries that will also participate in the tournament (Dubai International Championship).

The Super Eagles will face Uganda, Tunisia and Tanzania in Group C at the AFCON, meanwhile, Egypt are drawn in Group B with South Africa, Angola, and Zimbabwe.
