Nigeria’s home-based national team, the Super Eagles B, officially began their preparations for the 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN) on Monday. The squad held an intensive training session under floodlights at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, Ogun State.

Twenty-one players took part in the initial evening session, marking the start of their build-up for the continental tournament, which is slated to kick off in August.
The training camp is set to expand significantly, with an additional 24 invited players expected to arrive on Tuesday, bringing the total squad size to 45.
Nigeria is set to compete in Group D of the upcoming CHAN tournament, where they’ll face Senegal, Sudan, and Congo. Their campaign kicks off on August 5 with a match against Senegal.
CHAN only features players who are active in their country’s domestic leagues. The group of players includes representatives from Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) clubs like Remo Stars, Rivers United, Ikorodu City, Shooting Stars, Plateau United, Kwara United, and Enyimba FC.
