Gift Orban on the verge of Hoffenheim exit

Nigerian striker Gift Orban is reportedly set to depart Bundesliga side Hoffenheim barely seven months after his move to the German side.

The report comes amid a significant summer reorganization at the German club, which has seen the22-year-old forward fall dramatically down the pecking order.

According to a report from German football magazineKicker, while Orban’s departure is imminent, the finalisation of the deal remains a work in progress.

The Nigerian has reportedly been released from his club duties to finalize his transfer, with French Ligue 1club Toulouse emerging as the most likely destination. Negotiations between the two clubs are ongoing, with sources suggesting a loan-with-an-option-to-buy agreement is on the table.

He only joined Hoffenheim from French club Olympique Lyon in January. Last season, he netted four goals in 13 appearances for Hoffenheim.
