Nigeria Super Eagles B land in Zanzibar for final CHAN 2024 preparation

Nigeria home-based senior national team, Super Eagles B, have touched down in Zanzibar, Tanzania, to commence the final phase of their preparations for the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN).

Head coach Eric Chelle and his players touched down on the island on Friday night. The contingent departed from Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, on Thursday for the trip.

The Super Eagles B trip follows an intensive two-week training camp held in Ikenne, Ogun State, where the squad underwent rigorous drills and played a series of friendly matches to fine-tune their tactics and build team cohesion.

During their time in Ikenne, the Home Eagles notably secured victories over Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) sides like Remo Stars, Ojodu City, and Ikorodu City, building a positive momentum.

They will remain at their training camp in Zanzibar before moving to their designated base on the eve of the competition. Nigeria will face defending champions Senegal, Sudan and Congo in Group D at the tournament.

The 2024 CHAN, co-hosted by Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda, is exclusively for players competing in their respective domestic leagues, offering a unique platform for local talents to shine on the continental stage.
