In a thrilling Coupe De France women's final that pitted Nigeria Super Falcons stars Chiamaka Nnadozie and striker Jennifer Echegini against each other, it was goalkeeper Nnadozie who emerged victorious with Paris FC.

The 24-year-old shot-stopper was a rock in goal helping her team Paris FC to a 5-4 penalty win over PSG.

Echegini, brought on in the dying moments of the second half, couldn't find a breakthrough as the game ended in a goalless draw after regulation time. The tension soared as the final went to a penalty shootout.

In the nerve-wracking shootout, Nnadozie's brilliance shone through. While Clara Matéo was the only Paris FC player to miss her spot-kick, PSG faltered with misses from Jade Le Guilly and Korbin Albert. Ultimately, Paris FC clinched the Coupe De France title.

This cup victory provides a silver lining for Paris FC, who had earlier faced disappointment in their UEFA Women’s Champions League qualification campaign for the 2024/25 season. For Nnadozie, this adds a significant achievement to her burgeoning career while Echegini and PSG will rue a missed opportunity in the all-Parisian final.
