Vipers SC forward Allan Okello will remain with the Venoms at least until the January transfer window.
The seven-time Uganda Premier League champions are not entertaining any exits this year, although growing interest in the 25-year-old suggests a possible move when the window reopens.
Sudanese giants El Merriekh continue to monitor the situation closely, while Tanzanian powerhouse Simba SC are also reportedly keen on securing his services. However, any deal can now only materialize in January.
Okello is contracted to Vipers until 2026 and has been in scintillating form for both club and country.
He was Uganda’s top scorer at the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) with three goals and currently leads the Cranes’ tally in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers with three goals, level with Rogers Mato.
On the domestic front, Okello finished last season as the Uganda Premier League’s top scorer with 19 goals, playing a key role in Vipers’ league and cup double.
The Venoms will now count on him to replicate the same form on the continental stage as they prepare to face Namibia’s African Stars in the CAF Champions League preliminary round. The first leg is set for Friday in Cape Town.
