Norwich City have completed the signing of Senegalese winger Papa Amadou Diallo on a four-year contract from French club Metz, subject to international clearance.
A statement from the club confirmed: “Norwich City have completed the signing of Senegalese winger Papa Amadou Diallo for an undisclosed fee from Ligue 2 side Metz.
“The Senegal international signs on a four-year contract, with an option for an additional year, and will wear the number 19 shirt.”
Speaking after sealing the deal, Diallo said: “I’m so excited for this new journey. The sporting director and head coach have been very important for me and I can’t wait to start working at the club.
“It has been my dream to play in England – something new for me, but I am ready and prepared for the challenge ahead. I really always wanted Norwich City. I am excited about the project and the vision for this club and I can’t wait to come to England and meet my new team-mates and the supporters.”
Diallo began his professional career in Ligue 1, Senegal’s top flight, and featured for Génération Foot before making the move to Europe to sign for French side Metz in February 2023.
During the 2024/25 season, Diallo featured in 28 Ligue 2 fixtures and scored seven times as Metz finished third and defeated Reims in the play-offs to earn promotion to the French top flight.
Internationally, he has also featured seven times for his country and has scored twice.
