NPFL: Amapakabo calls for Abia Warriors to keep striving for the best

Abia Warriors head coach Imama Amapakabo hopes his side can continue their strong form in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) by coming out with a win against Shooting Stars (3SC).

The Umuahia side are currently unbeaten in the league since their exit from the CAF Confederation Cup.

Abia Warriors will be guests of Shooting Stars in matchday nine NPFL encounter at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasinga, Ibadan on Sunday.

Speaking to the club’s media, Imama is optimistic that his side will better their performance from last season.

“We can only be tagged a failure if by May, the league comes to an end and we are not able to get back to where we were as in the past season, and most importantly, first time for the team itself being in the continent.”

The Umu Chineke moved to second position on the table after a 2-0 victory over El-Kanemi Warriors last weekend.
