NPFL: Bendel Insurance suspend head coach Greg Ikhenoba

Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side, Bendel Insurance have announced that they have suspended head coach Greg Ikhenoba.

Ikhenoba’s suspension which was announced via the clubs social media handle was approved by the Edo State Sports Commission Chairman, Hon Amadin Desmond Enabulele on Monday.

Ikhenoba suspension takes immediate effect, with assistant coach Baldwin Bazuaye directed to take charge of the team.

The Edo State Sports Commission boss took the decision following the poor performance of The Benin Arsenals in the current NPFL season coupled with the 1-0 loss to Nasarawa United in the match day seven of the at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium on Saturday.

Bendel Insurance currently occupy 15th position on the NPFL table with six points.
