NPFL: Enyimba unveils new technical adviser and sporting director
Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Enyimba has officially unveiled its new technical and sporting directors as the club looks to finish the 2025-26 season in a strong position.
Coach Emmanuel Deutsch (Detchoua Gustave) takes over as the new Technical Adviser, while Mr. Daniel Eke, who previously served within the club’s scouting structure, has been appointed Sporting Director.

The unveiling took place on Tuesday during a brief ceremony at the Enyimba International Stadium in Aba.
The Deputy Governor of Abia State, His Excellency Hon. Engr. Ikechukwu Lekwachi Emetu, alongside the Honourable Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development, Hon. Nwaobilor Nwadinma Ananaba, presented the new appointees to the players and officials.
State government reaffirms support for the Enyimba
Delivering a goodwill message from the Executive Governor of Abia State, the Deputy Governor reaffirmed the state government’s unwavering commitment to the team’s welfare and the continued growth of Enyimba FC as the pride of Abia State and Nigerian football.
He urged the players, technical crew, and management to work in unity and harmony to restore the club to its enviable heights.
Coach Deutsch takes the technical reins with immediate effect, bringing fresh ideas and renewed ambition to the People’s Elephant.
Meanwhile, Mr. Eke, the new Sporting Director, will oversee the club’s sporting philosophy, recruitment framework, and long-term football development strategy.
Both officials have since resumed their duties and begun acquainting themselves with the players and backroom staff as preparations intensify for the Matchday 27 encounter against Rivers United in Port Harcourt this Sunday.
