Shooting Stars head coach Gbenga Ogunbote will remain in charge of 3SC next season after rejecting a move to fellow Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Kano Pillars.
Ogunbote has one-year remaining on his contract with Shooting Stars, and has reportedly decided to honour it. The Ibadan club finished in eighth position last season on the 2024-25 NPFL log.
Kano Pillars are looking for a new coach after partying ways with Usman Abdallah. Abdallah left Sai Masu Gida last month, citing personal reasons for his decision.
The four-time NPFL champions also have Mohammed Babaganaru and Salisu Yusuf on their shortlist of coaches to replace Abdallah.
