NPFL top scorer Anas Yusuf set to join Tanzanian side Tabora United

Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) 2024/25 top scorer, Anas Yusuf has officially agreed a move to Tanzanian top-flight club Tabora United.

The forward will depart from Nasarawa United to join Tabora United. Yusuf was undeniably the standout attacker in the recently concluded NPFL campaign, clinching the Eunisell Boot Award as the league’s top scorer with an impressive tally of 18 goals.

Nasarawa United survived relegation despite facing a challenging season, the Lafia-based club managed to remain in Nigeria’s top flight league, a feat many attributed largely to Yusuf’s decisive contributions in front of goal.

The 27-year-old is currently in the Super Eagles B team camp for the upcoming 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN). The tournament, which is scheduled to run from August2 to 30, 2025, will be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.

Tabora United, a rising force in the Tanzanian Premier League, will undoubtedly be looking to leverage Yusuf’s proven goal-scoring ability to bolster their attacking options and compete at a higher level.
