Senzo Ndlovu: Nsingizini Hotspurs FC media
Nsingizini Hotspurs’ South African coach Mandla Qhogi hopes compatriot Senzo Ndlovu can maintain his scoring momentum with the Eswatini MTN Premier League holders.
The former Orlando Pirates youth team coach was reacting to the encouraging performances of the on-loan AmaZulu FC forward. Ndlovu struck twice for Spurs to dispatch Green Mamba FC 2-0 at Mhlume Stadium on Monday, leaving Qhogi impressed.

“Credit must go to Senzo Ndlovu for scoring two goals. It was long overdue from him, and we hope those two goals will encourage him to go on,” the coach said.
The South African trainer said this ahead of a domestic league assignment against Mbabane Highlanders AM at King Sobhuza Memorial Stadium on Sunday.
Spurs signed strikers Ndlovu on loan from AmaZulu FC and his compatriot Daniel Dio, a free agent from M-Tigers FC in South Africa’s lower league.
The Eswatini Premier League champions lost four key players to clubs in South Africa and Zimbabwe soon after exiting the CAF Champions League preliminary rounds.
Spurs nearly sneaked through to the group-stage of the continental league after booting out Simba Bhora FC from Zimbabwe only to be stopped by Simba SC of Tanzania in the Champions League final qualifying round.
Therefore, Sunday’s encounter will involve a fair share of South Africans on both sides. Former Royal AM owner Shawn Mkhize is Highlanders’ president.
She crossed the South African borders to invest in the Eswatini Premier League following the disbandment of his Betway Premiership club in South Africa.
Now Mkhize wants to turn Highlanders AM into a giant beyond Eswatini. She is eyeing a return to CAF inter-club competitions just like was the case in her Royal AM days.
For now, Mkhize’s team is playing catch up with the defending champions Spurs.
Qhogi-led side tops the log table with 35 points from 17 games, two points ahead of second-placed Young Buffaloes FC.
Nsingizini Hotspurs head coach Mandla Qhogi is hopeful that South African forward Senzo Ndlovu can sustain his scoring momentum in the Eswatini MTN Premier League. The South African tactician praised the striker following an impressive brace that secured a crucial victory for the defending champions.
Ndlovu, currently on loan from AmaZulu FC, scored twice as Nsingizini Hotspurs defeated Green Mamba FC 2-0 at Mhlume Stadium on Monday. The performance left Qhogi encouraged and optimistic about the striker’s future contributions.
The two-goal performance was a significant breakthrough for Ndlovu, who had been working hard to find consistent form in front of goal. Qhogi acknowledged the importance of the goals not just for the team but for the striker’s confidence.
“Credit must go to Senzo Ndlovu for scoring two goals. It was long overdue from him, and we hope those two goals will encourage him to go on,” Qhogi said.
The victory strengthened Nsingizini Hotspurs’ position at the top of the MTN Premier League table. With 35 points from 17 matches, Spurs lead the standings by two points ahead of second-placed Young Buffaloes FC.
Maintaining attacking efficiency will be crucial as the league title race intensifies in the second half of the season.
Nsingizini Hotspurs signed Senzo Ndlovu on loan from South African Premier Division side AmaZulu FC to reinforce their attacking options following a challenging continental campaign. The club also secured Daniel Dio, another South African striker, who joined as a free agent after leaving M-Tigers FC.
The squad rebuilding became necessary after Spurs lost four key players to clubs in South Africa and Zimbabwe shortly after their exit from the CAF Champions League preliminary rounds.
Despite falling short of reaching the group stage, Spurs made a strong impression in continental competition. They eliminated Simba Bhora FC of Zimbabwe before narrowly losing to Tanzanian giants Simba SC in the final qualifying round.
The continental campaign exposed some gaps in the squad, prompting management to seek reinforcements in the attacking department. Ndlovu’s loan move was part of that strategy.
The upcoming league fixture against Mbabane Highlanders AM at King Sobhuza Memorial Stadium adds another layer of intrigue. The match is expected to feature several South African figures on both sides.
Mbabane Highlanders are currently under the presidency of former Royal AM owner Shawn Mkhize. After Royal AM’s disbandment from South Africa’s Betway Premiership, Mkhize shifted her football investment to Eswatini.
Her ambition is clear — to transform Highlanders AM into a competitive powerhouse capable of returning to CAF inter-club competitions, similar to her Royal AM days.
For now, Highlanders are chasing the defending champions in the league standings. The clash against Spurs presents an opportunity to close the gap and send a strong message in the title race.
With Nsingizini Hotspurs currently leading the log table, consistency will be key in maintaining their advantage. The two-point cushion over Young Buffaloes FC is slim, meaning every match carries significant weight.
Qhogi’s side has demonstrated resilience and tactical discipline throughout the campaign. However, their ability to convert chances into goals could determine whether they successfully defend their title.
The emergence of Senzo Ndlovu as a reliable goal scorer would provide the attacking spark Spurs need in the final stretch of the season.
Mandla Qhogi, a former Orlando Pirates youth team coach, brings valuable experience to the Eswatini champions. His focus now is on maintaining momentum and ensuring his players remain mentally sharp.
With domestic fixtures coming thick and fast, squad rotation and player fitness will play a crucial role. Ndlovu’s resurgence could ease pressure on the team’s attack while boosting morale within the squad.
As the Shiselweni Derby and other key fixtures approach, Nsingizini Hotspurs remain firmly in control of their title destiny. The question now is whether Senzo Ndlovu can continue delivering when it matters most.
If his recent performance is anything to go by, the defending champions may have found their rhythm at the perfect time.
