Matchday seven of the 2025-26 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership witnessed an outpouring of goals across both groups, with Bayelsa Queens remaining the only perfect team after seven rounds.
A total of 23 goals were scored nationwide—16 in Group A and 7 in Group B—as fans were treated to a high-scoring Wednesday.
In Group A, Rivers Angels bounced back from their recent setback against Bayelsa Queens with a ruthless display in Port Harcourt, thrashing Heartland Queens 5-0 at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium.

Ramotalahi Kareem was the standout performer, netting a hat-trick, while Abasiofon Uwah added a brace with headers from both set pieces and open play. The result lifts Rivers Angels back to second place, while Heartland Queens remain fourth, still searching for consistency.
In Adamawa, defending champions Bayelsa Queens extended their perfect start by hammering Adamawa Queens 4-1. Kindness Ifeanyi opened the scoring early.
Although Adamawa’s Omo Afensemi briefly restored parity with a superb free kick, the “Prosperity Girls” responded through captain Blessing Ilivieda and Janet Akekoromowei to lead 3-1 at the break. Ifeanyi completed her brace in the 66th minute to seal the win and keep them top of Group A.
Elsewhere in the group, Edo Queens edged newly promoted Pacesetter Queens 2-1 in Benin City. Goals from Saidat Adeniyi and Doosuur Atume secured the points, despite an equalizer from Aminat Adebisi.
Meanwhile, in Uyo, Ibom Angels returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Ekiti Queens, thanks to an 80th-minute winner from Wami Georgeline.
In Group B, the Southwestern derby in Ikenne saw Remo Stars Ladies end FC Robo Queens’ unbeaten run with a hard-fought 1-0 victory, courtesy of a 73rd-minute strike by Cynthia Mega. In Asaba, Delta Queens suffered a 1-0 home loss to Abia Angels, with Blessing Okon providing the decisive goal in the 55th minute.
A major milestone occurred at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, where Ahidiayannem Queens finally found the back of the net after 611 minutes of football. Chizaram Onyenze converted a 71st-minute penalty to score the club’s first-ever NWFL goal. However, hosts Dannaz Ladies still secured a 2-1 win thanks to a late 87th-minute strike by Adewunmi Akintola.
The North Central derby in Iyahmo ended in a 1-1 draw as Nasarawa Amazons’ Omotoke Ogunfuwa struck in the 89th minute to cancel out Seember Emmanuel’s opener for Confluence Queens
With the conclusion of matchday seven, in Group A Bayelsa Queens (18 points) , Rivers United (15 points) and Edo Queens (15 points) are currently in courses to book their place in the Super six as they occupy the top three spots in the group.
While although losing their match FC Robo Ladies still sit on first place in group B with Nasarawa Amazons and Remo Stars currently placed second and third respectively.
