OFFICIAL: Ibrahim Adel joins Al Jazira in surprise move from Pyramids

In a surprise transfer, UAE Pro League side Al Jazira have officially announced the signing of Egyptian rising star Ibrahim Adel from Pyramids FC.

Adel was instrumental in Pyramids’ recent CAF Champions League triumph and enjoyed an outstanding 2024-2025 season. He registered 15 goals and 12 assists in 35 appearances across all competitions.

His performances caught the attention of La Liga side Getafe, who submitted an offer in January, but the deal was ultimately rejected.

Al Jazira finished seventh in the 2024-2025 UAE Pro League campaign with 37 points from 10 wins, 7 draws, and 9 defeats. The team scored 45 goals but conceded 40.

The Abu Dhabi-based club is currently conducting a pre-season training camp in Marbella, Spain, in preparation for the 2025-2026 campaign. Among the notable names in the squad is Egyptian international Mohamed Elneny, who was included in the traveling party for the Spanish camp that kicked off on July 13.

As part of their pre-season schedule, Al Jazira are set to face Spanish side Gimnàstic Tarragona on July 24, followed by a high-profile friendly against French giants Olympique de Marseille on July 26.
