Manchester City have confirmed the signing of Algerian international Rayan Ait-Nouri from Wolverhampton Wanderers in a summer transfer move. Sky Sports reports the transfer fee to be around £31m ($42 million).

The talented left-back, aged 24, has signed a long-term contract with Manchester City that runs until June 2030. His arrival strengthens Pep Guardiola’s options on the left flank ahead of the 2025/26 Premier League season.

Ait-Nouri impressed during the 2024/25 season with Wolves, making 41 appearances in all competitions. The Algerian defender scored five goals and provided seven assists, underlining his attacking contributions as well as his defensive solidity.

Over five seasons at Wolves, Ait-Nouri played 157 matches, registering 12 goals and 19 assists.

Internationally, Ait-Nouri has represented the Algeria national team since March 2023 and has earned 13 caps so far.

With this transfer, Rayan Ait-Nouri becomes the second Arab player currently in Manchester City’s squad, joining Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush, who signed for the club in January 2025.
