OGC Nice target Lassine Sinayoko as Guessand replacement

OGC Nice has identified Auxerre striker Lassine Sinayoko as a potential replacement for Ivorian forward Evann Guessand. Guessand left the Allianz Riviera to join English side Aston Villa in a deal worth €35 million.

The Bamako-born player bagged five goals in the 2024/25 Ligue 1 season at Auxerre but has the potential to become a lethal striker. Sinayoko, 25, was instrumental when Auxerre won promotion to Ligue 1 and has been a key figure in the Mali national side in recent times.

Nice lost two of their strikers during the transfer window and are seeking to reinforce their attacking line with other options. Get French Football reports that Sinayoko has a year left on his contract at Auxerre, but he might consider the move. The lanky striker can be deployed as a centre forward or start from the flanks.
