The dynamic attacker, who joined the club in February 2025 from Vipers SC Junior Team, has been quietly working his way into the team with his blistering pace, flair, and ability to operate both on the wing and in advanced attacking roles.
His breakthrough moment arrived last Friday under the lights at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo, where he calmly slotted home in the 36th minute to give URA FC the lead against Ngora regional outfit Tapoh FC. The Tax Collectors went on to seal a comfortable 3-0 victory, booking their place in the 2026 Stanbic Uganda Cup quarter finals.
While speaking to the club media, an elated Olimi shared his emotions following the milestone goal.
“It feels amazing to get my first goal for this great club. I’ve been patient and working hard in training, so I’m grateful to the technical team for trusting me and to my teammates who have supported me since day one. This goal means a lot to me.”
The forward’s performance was a reflection of his growing confidence and adaptation within the squad, as he continues to develop into a reliable attacking option.
Now with the pressure of scoring his first goal lifted, Olimi is eager to push further and make consistent contributions when called upon.
“I believe this is just the start. I want to keep pushing myself, scoring more goals, and helping the team in every way possible. Whenever I’m given the chance, I’ll give my best because we have big targets as a team, and I want to be part of achieving them.”
With a possible Uganda Cup final now within reach, URA FC will be counting on emerging talents like Olimi to maintain momentum and deliver when it matters most.
