Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush restored his impressive form for Manchester City, scoring a spectacular goal in their 3-1 home win over Bournemouth in Matchweek 37 of the Premier League.
The game, held at the Etihad Stadium, saw Marmoush open the scoring in the 14th minute. He received the ball near the center circle, surged forward, and unleashed a stunning long-range strike from outside the box that Bournemouth goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga couldn't stop.
The goal was a statement of mental strength from the 26-year-old, who missed a penalty in City's FA Cup final defeat to Crystal Palace just three days earlier.
Bernardo Silva doubled the lead in the 38th minute and Nico González added a third late on in the 89th minute. Bournemouth pulled one back through Daniel Jebbison in stoppage time (90+6).
With his goal today, Marmoush has now contributed to 11 goals since joining Manchester City during the January transfer window. Across all competitions, he has played 21 matches, scoring 8 goals and providing 3 assists.
In the Premier League alone, Marmoush has been directly involved in 9 goals (7 goals, 2 assists) from 15 appearances.
Manchester City currently sit third in the Premier League table with 68 points and have not yet secured qualification for next season’s UEFA Champions League yet, with one round remaining.
