Nigeria forward Paul Onuachu refused to take credit for his brace, only singing praise of Trabzonspor for putting a fighting spirit in defeating Konyaspor 3-1 in a Turkish Super Lig fixture at Papara Park on Saturday.
The Super Eagle stole the show with two goals in the 43rd minute, and 50th minute, the second from the penalty spot, as his side registered their ninth win of the campaign, to move third of the 16 team league table.

“It feels good (to score 11 goals). But the most important thing is to win,” Onuachu told Super Haber.
“We started the match a little slowly. We woke up after conceding the goal. The team showed a good fight today. After conceding the goal, we put our own game on display.”
“This team has shown that it can achieve great things. I am very happy for the team. We are a family team.
“When my friends I play with score a goal, I am as happy as if it was my own. The whole team is doing a good job. We are a family team.”
The win enabled Trabzonspor to move to 31 points, two less than table leaders Galatasaray of teammate Victor Osimhen. For Onuachu, he has now scored 11 goals in 14 matches to become the highest scorer in the league.
Onuachu has also popped up with one assist. He will hope to add to his goal tally when they face Göztepe S.K. in a league fixture at Gursel Aksel Stadium on Sunday.
