Orlando Pirates have confirmed the signing of winger Kamogelo Sebelebele from TS Galaxy. This move comes after Sebelebele’s impressive breakout campaign with Galaxy, where he featured in 29 matches and scored five goals.
“Sebelebele will join the group of players who remained in Johannesburg while the selected first team group embarked on their preseason tour in Spain,” the club announced on Monday.
The Buccaneers are currently in Marbella for their preseason, with two remaining fixtures against Spanish clubs Las Palmas and Granada before returning home on July 20.
While primarily a winger, the 23-year-old Limpopo-born star also showcased his tactical versatility last season by excelling at both right-back and left-back. This highlights the dynamism he brings to Abdeslam Ouaddou’s squad.
Sebelebele has been with the Mpumalanga-based TS Galaxy since the 2022/23 season and was a pivotal player last season, missing only three Betway Premiership matches. His strong performances earned him a call-up to the Bafana Bafana COSAFA Cup squad, where he further impressed, even being voted Man of the Match in one game.
The Buccaneers have moved swiftly to secure the talented winger, adding him to a list of new arrivals as they bolster their squad for the upcoming season.
The increased depth will be crucial as Pirates prepare to compete in more than five competitions, including defending the MTN8, contesting the Betway Premiership, Nedbank Cup, and Carling Knockout, as well as participating in the CAF Champions League.
