Orlando Pirates secure major new partnership

Soweto giants Orlando Pirates are revving up for the new season with a dynamic new partnership, welcoming automotive powerhouse Suzuki to their stable of sponsors.

The Buccaneers recently returned from an intensive pre-season tour in Spain, where new head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou put the squad through their paces at the Marbella facilities. Ouaddou, who took the reins last month after Jose Riveiro’s departure for Al Ahly, focused on building team chemistry and integrating the club’s raft of new signings.

During their Spanish sojourn, the Sea Robbers tested their mettle against top European clubs in a series of training matches, fine-tuning combinations and ensuring new faces gelled seamlessly into the team.

The current transfer window has seen Pirates make significant moves in the market, bringing in an impressive array of talent, including Sipho Mbule, Oswin Appollis, Sinoxolo Kwayiba, Yanela Mbuthuma, Sihle Nduli, Masindi Nemtajela, Kamogelo Sebelebele, Tshepho Mashiloane, Nkosikhona Ndaba, and Tshepang Moremi.

With a strong squad and fresh leadership, Pirates are setting their sights high. After finishing last season as league runners-up to Mamelodi Sundowns and reaching the CAF Champions League semi-finals, the club is determined to challenge for every trophy on offer.

In a strategic move to bolster their standing as one of Africa’s leading football brands, Orlando Pirates have officially partnered with Japanese automotive giant Suzuki.

Suzuki announced the exciting collaboration on social media this Thursday morning, marking a significant addition to the club’s already impressive roster of sponsors.

“A new chapter starts here. Suzuki is proud to be the official vehicle partner of Orlando Pirates Football Club. From the streets to the stadium, we move as one,” Suzuki proclaimed, signalling a shared journey of ambition and movement.

Suzuki now stands alongside established major sponsors such as Vodacom, Carling Black Label, SuperSportBET, Oppo, Adidas, Aquelle, and Marriott Bonvoy, further solidifying Orlando Pirates’ commercial appeal and strategic partnerships.
