Osimhen continues to dominate as Galatasaray win 6th straight

Galatasaray continued their march towards another Turkish Süper Lig title on Saturday as league leading scorer Victor Osimhen scored twice in Gala's 4-1 victory over Sivasspor.

The Nigerian poacher was in the right place to double Galatasaray's lead in the 15th minute by tapping in a rebound from close range after Lucas Torreira opened the scoring. The onslaught of goals continued for the hosts who made it 3-0 with barely twenty minutes played after Barış Alper Yılmaz added another goal.

But Galatasaray were not done yet. Shortly after the half hour mark it was Osimhen who added yet another goal when a free kick service fell kindly for an easy finish.

Osimhen now has 24 league goals in 27 appearances, leaving him three goals clear at the top of the Süper Lig scoring chart. He now has 33 goals in all competitions for Galatasaray, who are now eight points ahead of Fenerbahçe as they approach another league title.

Galatasaray will take on Simon Banza and Trabzonspor twice, the first a league match away on May 10 before clashing again in the Turkish Cup final four days later.
