Victor Osimhen boosted his assist total on Friday in the Turkish Süper Lig, setting up two goals in a 5-1 drubbing for league leaders Galatasaray against relegation candidates Eyüpspor.

It was the first time the Nigerian accumulated two assists in a league match. Less than two minutes into the match, the hosts were ahead when Osimhen set up Yunus Akgün for the opening goal. The result was essentially sealed before halftime after a second goal from Mauro Icardi was shortly followed by a red card to Eyüpspor defender Bedirhan Ozyurt.
After halftime, the Super Eagles star recorded his second assist by setting up Icardi for his second goal. The Argentine forward eventually confirmed his hat-trick later on in the second half to make it 4-0.
Eyüpspor finally pulled a goal back instantly after Icardi’s hat-trick but an own goal late on left the result at 5-1 in favor of the reigning league champions.
The former Napoli star now has 9 goals and 3 assists in 16 league matches, bringing his total to 15 goals and 3 assists in 22 matches across all competitions. The Lions now lead rivals Fenerbahçe by six points with one more match played and will now focus on the UEFA Champions League, where they will host Juventus in the first leg of their Round of 32 clash on Tuesday.
