Head coach of Ghana’s senior men’s team, Otto Addo has named a 22-man squad for the double international friendly against Japan and South Korea this month.
Three players, Czech Republic based striker Prince Kwabena Adu, Medeama SC winger Kelvin Nkrumah, and FC Montreal forward Prince Osei Owusu have earned their maiden invitation ahead of the Kirin Cup.
Prince Kwabena Adu, who plies his trade for Viktoria Plzen, has scored five goals in 14 appearances this campaign and his debut call up will be a feather in his cap as coach Otto seeks to give a number of players playing opportunities.
German born Prince Osei Owusu has an impressive 34 appearances and 13 goals with three assists for CF Montreal in the Major League Soccer. He previously played for TSG Hoffenheim in 2017 and with Bundesliga 2 side Arminia Bielefeld a year later.
The domestic top flight will boast of another budding talent in the Black Stars following the invitation of Medeama SC winger Kelvin Nkrumah, who has taken the ongoing Ghana Premier League by storm helping the Mauve and Yellow into second spot this campaign on 18 points, one behind leaders Aduana FC after nine matches.
Otto Addo is expected to hold his first training session in Nagoya on Wednesday ahead of the 2025 Kirin Cup against Japan on Friday, November 14 at the Toyota Stadium before taking on South Korea four days later at the Seoul World Cup Stadium.
