Ouaddou and Dithejane secure back-to-back Betway Prem Awards

The Betway Premiership has recognised its standout performers for the months of November and December, with TS Galaxy midfielder Puso Dithejane and Orlando Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou each securing their second major individual accolade of the season.

Meanwhile, young Buccaneers star Cemran Dansin celebrated his first senior award, claiming the Goal of the Month prize.

Midfield Maestro Puso Dithejane Continues Stellar Run

Dithejane of Galaxy clinched the Betway Premiership Player of the Month award, building on an already impressive campaign. The attacking midfielder was instrumental in the Rockets’ push into the league’s top eight before the Christmas recess.

His contributions over the two-month period included one goal and two assists, vital statistics that underlined his influence on the pitch.

Dithejane edged out tough competition for the coveted award, notably from goal-scoring threat Oswin Appollis (Orlando Pirates) and the reliable Athini Maqokolo (AmaZulu FC), both of whom also delivered strong performances during the review period.

Ouaddou Takes Back-to-Back Coaching Honours

For Ouaddou, the Pirates head coach, it was a repeat performance as he secured the Betway Premiership Coach of the Month award for the second consecutive time. His tactical expertise was key to steering the Buccaneers to the top of the table heading into the break.

Under Ouaddou’s guidance, the Soweto giants boasted an exceptional run of form, recording four victories and one draw in their five league fixtures. This stellar run saw him rightfully defeat nominees like Phuthi Mohafe (Polokwane City) and the experienced Arthur Zwane (AmaZulu FC).

Rising Star Dansin’s Stunner Takes Top Goal Prize

The Goal of the Month award went to 20-year-old Cemran Dansin, marking his maiden Betway Premiership honour in his first season with the Orlando Pirates senior team.

Dansin’s sensational first-time volley from outside the box in the 1-1 derby draw against Mamelodi Sundowns on 1 November was a moment of global quality, grabbing attention beyond local shores. The strike was voted the best goal of the period, overcoming other magnificent efforts, including Riaan Hanamub’s spectacular goal for AmaZulu against Golden Arrows and Haashim Domingo’s precise curler for Orbit College.

The winners were selected by a panel of accredited journalists and broadcasters, recognising excellence across the league.
