Bibiani GoldStars will continue their Ghana Premier League title defence in week 16 against Dreams FC at the Duns Park on Sunday.
The reigning champions have had a cocktail of results, winning twice and dropping six points in their last four matches.
They lost at Nations FC and Samartex respectively before managing a 1-0 score line at home to Aduana and away to new boys Hohoe United.
Ahead of their home game against Dreams fc, captain of the side, Vincent Atinga discussed how much it meant to claw a 1-0 win at Hohoe United last week.
“Getting an away win was a morale booster for the team to be able to win our home game as well against Dreams FC,” Vincent Atinga told GoldStars media.
The towering defender stressed the need to win all home games at all costs to help push them retain the Ghana Premier League title. “It’s our intention to win all home games because we do not want to drop points anymore. We want to win our home games to help push us into the top four.”
With a new coach in the person Fritz Markus Schmid, Vincent Atinga says the players are gradually bonding to ensure a smooth run in the current campaign.
“Just like we worked with our previous coaches, the same applies to the current coach, nothing has changed much and it’s the same rules we are applying here so I believe we shall be fine.
GoldStars sit in 5th on the league table with 25 points from 15 games with the players setting sight on winning against Dreams fc in week 16 to build up points.
