Ghana defender Baba Rahman has opened his doors for a return to the senior national team. The former Chelsea left-back has been absent from the Black Stars for a over a year due to injuries and personal problems.

Rahman, who showed great quality at Greek side PAOK last season, says he remains in touch with the members of the Black Stars technical team and is preparing for a possible comeback.

“I’ll be back soon, God willing. I’ve stayed in regular touch with the coach. It’s just been unfortunate timing, every international break, something seems to come up with my fitness. But I’m working hard, and I’ll be ready.” He told JoySports.

Rahman scored five goals and three assists in 29 Super League appearances while notching two goals in 12 matches in Europe.

The former Kotoko left back has played for clubs across Germany, England and France.
