Arriving on loan from Strasbourg at the beginning of January, the Senegalese midfielder was left delighted with his display for the side currently sitting eighth on the league table with 29 points from 19 matches.
“I’m happy. But this is just the beginning. I’m very proud of the team, of what we did today. First goal, first assist… I hope there will be more to come. In any case, I’m very happy,” he told the club website.
When asked about his future, the Senegalese midfielder had already expressed his determination in a statement: “I want to succeed here. To show my qualities to Strasbourg and everyone else.”
In just three matches played, Pape Demba Diop has already established himself as a key player in Toulouse’s midfield, thanks to his work rate, his forward runs, and his effectiveness in crucial areas.
