Paul Onuachu reacts to Trabzonspor’s victory over Galatasaray

Trabzonspor striker Paul Onuachu has commented on the Black Sea Storm’s hard-earned 2-1 victory over Galatasaray in their Turkish Super Lig clash on Saturday.

The match, played at Papara Park, saw Onuachu and his Nigerian international teammate Chibuike Nwaiwu provide the goals for Fatih Tekke’s side.

A deserved win

Speaking after the match, Onuachu emphasized that the team fought tirelessly in front of their home support to secure the three points.

“We really fought hard in front of these fans.

Onuachu ready for title challenge

The 31-year-old also insisted that the squad remains committed to the title race, noting that the pressure is now on the league leaders..

We have tough matches ahead of us, but we’ll take it one match at a time. We’ll go out to win every game. Galatasaray might drop points against Göztepe. We’ll win the remaining matches, look ahead, and see what happens.”

The title race remains delicately balanced. Galatasaray currently leads the table with 64 points and a game in hand, while Trabzonspor sits close behind in second with 63 points. Fenerbahçe remains in the hunt in third place with 60 points.
