Paul Onuachu reaffirms commitment to Trabzonspor despite transfer reports

Paul Onuachu has expressed his desire to remain with Turkish Süper Lig side Trabzonspor, despite interest from various clubs ahead of the summer transfer window.

Onuachu, who is the current Süper Lig top scorer, having netted 21 goals and registered two assists in 24 league appearances for Trabzonspor this season, is a man in demand. The Nigerian striker’s outstanding goal-scoring form has attracted interest from both German and Saudi Arabian clubs.

Onuachu committed to Trabzonspor

Onuachu, however, is not willing to leave Turkey for now, having arrived on a permanent transfer from Southampton last summer.

The 31-year-old, as quoted by Fotomaç, said he is desperate to help the “Black Sea Storm” win silverware.

“I will stay here. We have trophies to win with Trabzonspor.”

Despite his commitment, the list of suitors continues to grow. Interested clubs reportedly include German Bundesliga sides Bayer Leverkusen, VfL Wolfsburg, and Werder Bremen.

Additionally, Saudi club Al-Ahli is reportedly willing to offer the Nigeria international €6 million, which is three times his current salary at Trabzonspor.
