Paul Onuachu leads Trabzonspor to another Turkish Super Lig victory

Paul Onuachu put in another strong performance with a goal and an assist in Trabzonspor’s 4-0 home victory over Kayserispor on Friday during the Turkish Super Lig’s eighth round at Papara Park Stadium.

Nigeria international Onuachu was instrumental to create the chance for the first goal, which was well put at the back of the net by Okay Yokuşlu in the 12th minute as the hosts took the lead in the first half. The second half saw the hosts double their lead just eight minutes after kickoff when Christ Ravynel’s pass found Felipe Augusto for a header.

Three minutes later, the tally stretched to 3-0 as the Kayserispor goalkeeper was left with no help after Oleksandr Zubkov put the ball in the net as the home team extended their lead. Trabzonspor extended their lead through Onuachu to 4-0 when he converted his chance from the spot in added time to end the game.

After an impressive performance from Onuachu, he has scored seven goals in eight matches as Trabzonspor move to 2nd on the league table, four points behind league leader Galatasaray who have a game at hand
