Namibia president Ndemupelila Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwa has sent a special message to South Africa’s Premier Soccer League (PSL) trendsetter Peter Shalulile.
The Namibian leader saluted the Brave Warriors striker after he reached new heights on Saturday. He scored for Mamelodi Sundowns when they beat Stellenbosch FC 1-0 in a Betway Premiership match on Saturday.

The goal was of greater significance to Shalulile who now stands head and shoulders above all PSL greats.
The forward is now the PSL’s all-time leading scorer with 130 goals in 294 games with Sundowns and his former club, Highlands Park FC.
Reacting to the feat of the three-time PSL Golden Boot Award winner, Nandi-Ndaitwa took to X (formerly Twitter) to salute the countryman’s feat across the borders.
“Namibia celebrates with you on becoming the Premier Soccer League’s all-time top goal scorer with 130 goals,” the president tweeted.
“This remarkable milestone is a shining example of what hard work, discipline, and determination can achieve. Your success reminds us of the power of sports to inspire, unite, and create opportunities, as envisioned in NDP6. You have carried the Namibian flag with pride and set the bar high for the next generation of athletes.”
Congratulations, Peter Shalulile!

Last week, Shalulile marched closer to the all-time leading scorer’s record when he scored his 129th goal, matching the previous record held by Kaizer Chiefs’ legend Siyabonga Nomvethe.
The Namibian Football Association also sent the striker a congratulatory message. The forward has won five league titles with Sundowns, two player of season accolades, Nedbank Cup and MTN8 cups once each.
