Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to return to France

Gabonese striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is about to make his return to France, specifically to Olympique de Marseille (OM).

According to French media reports, OM are close to reaching an agreement with Aubameyang with the deal expected to close next week. The player is expected to join the French club once he has finalized the termination of his two-year contract with Saudi Arabian club Al-Qadsiah. Aubameyang joined OM two years ago after leaving Chelsea FC.

After spending just one season in Saudi Arabia, where he scored 21 goals in 36 games, rumors of a possible contract termination have sparked interest from several European clubs. OM was quick to express their desire to bring Aubameyang back and offered the 36-year-old striker a two-year contract.
