English Premier League side Fulham have nominated Nigeria international Samuel Chukwueze’s goal against Brighton & Hove Albion for the Goal of the Month award for January.

The winger was recognized for his strike in Fulham’s 2-1 win over Brighton, where the 26-year-old finished superbly in the 72nd minute after controlling Joachim Andersen’s precise pass.

Seven other players—including Tom Cairney, Jade Bradley, Harrison Reed, Aaron Loupalo-Bi, Kevin Farhaan, and Ali Wahid—are also in contention for the award.

Since joining Fulham on loan from AC Milan last summer, the Nigerian international has registered five goals and two assists in 11 league appearances for the Cottagers.

Samuel Chukwueze Goal Nominated for Premier League Goal of the Month

Samuel Chukwueze’s nomination places him among the standout performers in the Premier League for the month of January. His goal against Brighton was a perfect example of his strengths—intelligent movement, close control, and composure in front of goal.

Receiving Andersen’s long, accurate pass, Chukwueze showed excellent awareness to bring the ball under control in stride. With defenders closing in, he remained calm and executed a clean finish that left the goalkeeper with no chance. The move was swift, direct, and clinical—qualities that Fulham have benefited from since his arrival.

Strong Competition for the January Award

Chukwueze faces stiff competition for the Premier League Goal of the Month prize. Seven other players have also been shortlisted, including Tom Cairney, Jade Bradley, Harrison Reed, Aaron Loupalo-Bi, Kevin Farhaan, and Ali Wahid.

Each nominated goal brings its own level of brilliance, from long-range strikes to intricate team moves. However, Chukwueze’s effort stands out for its simplicity and effectiveness, underlining how decisive moments can often come from sharp anticipation and flawless execution rather than spectacular flair alone.

Impact Since Joining Fulham

Since joining Fulham on loan from AC Milan last summer, Samuel Chukwueze has steadily grown into a key figure for the London club. The Nigerian international has registered five goals and two assists in just 11 Premier League appearances, an impressive return that reflects his growing confidence and consistency.

His ability to operate on either flank, stretch defenses with pace, and contribute goals has added a new dimension to Fulham’s attack. Managerial staff have praised his work rate and adaptability, particularly his willingness to track back and support defensive phases when required.

Chukwueze’s Revival in English Football

The move to Fulham has provided Chukwueze with an ideal platform to rediscover his best form. After a mixed spell in Italy, the Premier League’s fast tempo and physicality appear well suited to his style of play.

Regular minutes have allowed him to build rhythm, while the trust shown by the coaching staff has boosted his confidence. His recent performances suggest a player enjoying his football again, with the Goal of the Month nomination serving as further validation of his resurgence.

What the Nomination Means for Chukwueze

Being nominated for a Premier League individual award is a significant milestone for any player, particularly in one of the world’s most competitive leagues. For Chukwueze, it highlights his successful adaptation to English football and reinforces his reputation as a match-winner.

The recognition could also strengthen his case for a more prominent role with the Nigerian national team, as well as influence Fulham’s plans regarding his future beyond the current loan spell.

Looking Ahead

As the season progresses, Samuel Chukwueze will be keen to build on his strong start and continue delivering decisive moments for Fulham. Whether or not he wins the Goal of the Month award, the nomination alone signals his growing impact in the Premier League.

For Fulham supporters, Chukwueze’s form offers optimism, while for Nigerian fans, it is another encouraging sign of a player hitting peak performance on a big stage.
