Ghana national team forward Antoine Semenyo scored in the first half but hosts Bournemouth were forced to settle for one point against Manchester United in Sunday's 1-1 draw from the English Premier League.

Brazilian striker Evanilson got on the end of a 23rd minute cross and laid back for the Black Stars forward, who produced a well-struck finish with his left foot to put the Cherries ahead.

In pursuit of a place in UEFA club competition next season, however, Bournemouth struggled to impose themselves against United who rallied well to control the match. Just when it appeared that Bournemouth would hold on for a victory, Rasmus Højlund equalized deep into second half stoppage time to save a point for the visitors.

With four matches remaining, Bournemouth are now seven points back of Aston Villa who sit on seventh place in the UEFA Europa Conference League qualifying position. With matches away at Arsenal and Manchester City, Bournemouth's hopes of European football next season are declining rapidly.

Semenyo is stepping up his form after a rough patch, scoring in two of Bournemouth's last three matches. He now has 11 goals and 5 assists in 38 appearances across all competitions this season.
