Another FKF Premier League axe: Ulinzi Stars fire coach Dunstan Nyaudo

Ulinzi Stars became the second Kenyan Premier League club to fire a coach this season following their decision to part ways with Dunstan Nyaudo following a series of unconvincing results.

The Soldiers confirmed in a statement they had fired Nyaudo with immediate effect after the club managed one win from their opening five matches in the top-flight.

The club’s statement read in part: “Ulinzi Stars Football Club wishes to announce that Head Coach Dunstan Nyaudo has been relieved of his duties with immediate effect.

“The management appreciates Coach Nyaudo’s dedication, professionalism, and service to the team both on and off the pitch during his time in charge.

“We extend our sincere gratitude to Coach Nyaudo for his contribution to the Ulinzi Stars family and wish him the very best in his future endeavours.”

Bandari FC had fired coach Ken Odhiambo

Nyaudo, who came in to replace Anthony Kimani, left Ulinzi Stars in 13th position with five points from five matches. They had registered one win, two draws, and two defeats.

His last assignment came last Sunday when Ulinzi suffered a 3-1 defeat against Kakamega Homeboyz. He becomes the second coach to be shown the exit door after Bandari FC dismissed the entire bench led by Kennedy Odhiambo and hired the services of Moroccan Mohamed Borji.

Ulinzi’s next assignment will be against Bidco United on Wednesday.
