Promising Senegalese defender Mamadou Aliou Diallo officially joins KAA Gent

Belgium’s KAA Gent have officially completed the signing of 18-year-old Senegalese central defender Mamadou Aliou Diallo.

A product of the renowned Diambars academy, Diallo has signed a two-year contract with the option of an additional season. The young central defender, who made a name for himself on the international stage with the Senegal U-17 national team, will begin his European career with KAA Gent’s reserve team.

Diallo’s arrival follows solid performances at the 2023 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations and the FIFA U-17 World Cup. This move marks a significant milestone in Mamadou Aliou Diallo’s young career.
