The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has announced the venue and date for the much-anticipated Carling Knockout Cup final between Orlando Pirates and Marumo Gallants.
The confirmation came swiftly following the conclusion of the semi-final tie between Golden Arrows and Marumo Gallants on Sunday, November 9, 2025.
The deciding match between the Buccaneers and Bahlabane ba Ntwa is set for Saturday, December 6, 2025. While the exact kick-off time is still pending, the PSL confirmed that the venue will be the New Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.
Furthermore, following a home-and-away draw conducted by the PSL, Orlando Pirates were confirmed as the designated hosts for the final.
The 45,500-capacity New Peter Mokaba Stadium is expected to be a sold-out affair, especially with the Sea Robbers featuring in the fixture. This marks a shift from last season, when the final was played at the Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein.
Both finalists endured tense semi-final encounters to book their final spots:
Orlando Pirates secured their place first, earning a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Richards Bay FC at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
Marumo Gallants advanced after a dramatic semi-final against Golden Arrows, prevailing 4-2 on penalties after the two teams finished 2-2 following 120 minutes of exhausting play.
The stakes are high, with the winner of the Carling Knockout set to take home a massive R6.85 million, while the runner-up will receive R2.85 million.
The PSL will announce details regarding ticket sales and other logistical information in due course.
