Ismael Saibari scored in Sunday’s 2-2 draw between rivals PSV Eindhoven and Ajax Amsterdam in round 6 of the Eredivisie. The Moroccan international bagged his first goal of the season in the derby match.
Saibari rose high to head home an Ivan Perišić cross seven minutes after kickoff to give PSV the lead. Ajax came from behind twice to secure a draw in the encounter. The 24-year-old midfielder played the full 90 minutes for the third game in a row. Saibari also played the entire match in PSV’s 3-1 home loss to Belgian side Union Saint-Gilloise in the UEFA Champions League.
Saibari has played eight games in all competitions for PSV in the 2025/26 season and scored his first goal in the crucial derby against Ajax. PSV are second in the standings with 13 points. He also scored a brace when Morocco qualified for the 2026 World Cup after beating Niger 5-0 in September 2025.
