Pyramids seal dramatic stoppage-time win over Ismailia Electricity

Pyramids FC snatched a dramatic late victory over hosts Ismailia Electricity, winning 2–1 at Ismailia Stadium in the rescheduled Nile Egyptian League Round 8 fixture.

After a goalless first half, the game burst into life early in the second period. Ismailia Electricity struck first in the 56th minute when Mohamed Ounajem met a ball with a header, directing it into the net to give the home side a surprising lead.

Pyramids responded quickly. In the 65th minute, Ali Gabr delivered the equaliser with a header after a pinpoint cross from Mohamed Chibi, restoring balance and shifting the momentum back toward the visitors.

As the match headed into stoppage time, Pyramids completed their comeback. Mahmoud Zalaka scored the decisive goal in the 90+3 minute, heading in another Mohamed Chibi’s accurate delivery to secure a valuable three points.

The win lifts Pyramids to 26 points, keeping them firmly in second place, while Ismailia Electricity remain bottom of the table with just 8 points.
